Subject: Missing La Femme figure?

IforDavies ( ) posted Fri, 27 September 2019 at 7:46 AM · edited Thu, 24 October 2024 at 6:58 PM

I've just applied the upgrade from 11.0 to 11.2, which so far seems to work without issues. I'm slightly puzzled by one thing, though: in the email that I got announcing the upgrade, one of the main changes that were listed was that "La Femme is the new default figure". However, I can't find a character called "La Femme" anywhere in the content library. So where is "La Femme" - is it in one of the additional content files (though I can't see anything that looks like a base figure in any of the ones that I can see), or should it have been installed when I ran the 11.2 installer, or what?

(A bit of background - I haven't done much with Poser for the past couple of years, but I thought I'd get it up and running again after receiving the upgrade email: I might be missing something that's blindingly obvious to regular users...)

And, of course, five minutes later I found it when I set "Launch to factory scene" in the settings...

However, I still can't find it in the library. Where is it supposed to be?

The LaFemme figure is in the default library. She installs with the Poser installer so she will be in the default runtime regardless of where you install the other content.

Many thanks, folks, for the speedy replies which helped me to work out what was happening.

I had made a mistake when installing: I didn't specify that my content was on a different drive. When I ran the installer again, but configured it to store the content on the D: drive, the missing library items appeared. I'm not sure why it worked like that - I would have expected a huge amount of content to appear on my C; drive when I ran the installer the first time, but they didn't - so perhaps I've got something a little bit odd in my configuration. But no matter - everything working now.
