Subject: Texture problem in P11.2

jartz ( ) posted Mon, 21 October 2019 at 9:40 PM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 12:36 AM

I'm trying to add a texture to a obj. clothing figure, and I get this result. Just the color texture, but without the design I created. Has anyone encounter this?

Thanks.

Hey Jartz, have you seen the same thing when rendered, or is that just in Preview mode?

The reason I ask is, my Laptop's integrated CPU doesn't use all the OpenGL options available, so I often don't see the textures as they look once I render. That said, however, I don't think I've seen a solid color when there's a texture. The texture just doesn't look the same in Preview mode, as it does once rendered..

That's a render, not in Preview Mode. It's when I try to render it, I get that effect. I'll try to see what I can do with other objects/props with said texture.

Footnote: Maybe it's something to do with what I'm doing in Marvelous Designer. When I put my texture in the box primitive. It shows up, it's when I put it in my MD object, the texture doesn't, all I get is the color texture, not the design.

Still trying to figure this out. I never had this problem in version 11.1, so...

This object probably is not UV mapped for one. Try reducing your U_ and V_ Scales to a lower value until you get something acceptable.

I think I got it now. The thing is, I have to scale it to a higher value.

That's fine as long as you can match the pattern to your object for a better render.
