Hello, Windows 10 is looming and I was wondering how Bryce 7 Pro, Vue 8 and Poser 11.2 got on with it.

Bryce and Poser get on well with Win 10. The only thing is for Bryce, you'll need the Large Address Awareness app for Bryce to utilize the larger memories on your computer. Don't know if it's still available. You can google or search for it. If you can't find it, come back here and maybe one of the Bryce veterans can chime in here to help you.

As for Vue 8, I don't know. I guess it's the same way with Poser. Win 10 is not a 32 bits system but 64 and will run some legacy programs without problems (backward compatibility).

I get that you want to hang on to Win7, but support for that system will end. I have old legacy laptops and computers running Win10 and it is a very reliable and fast OS. I am not trying to get you to change, but if you were to do so, I think you would like it. I have used Windows since it started. I managed to stay away from the goofier iterations, that being said, I am completely sold on Win 10. It's stable, it's reliable, and as long as you set your system to only update when you have had a chance to review potential problems online, you will be fine.

I am going to do this myself today as I didn't know this was a problem although I stopped using Bryce because it was having problems. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I concur with Beakbryce. Windows 10 is solid!

The only reason I've been against updating to Win10 up until recently was the horrific Start Menu Microsoft modeled after their Surface Tablet. That's not how I work, and luckily, thanks to some comments on one of the forums, I've found a link to an add-on that will turn the Win10 Start Menu back to what I'm used to.

That said, I also skipped Windows Vista and the other troublesome versions, and up until I got Win7 Pro set up the way I like to use it, WinXP Pro was my favorite, though it was only 32-bit, and when I upgraded to my current laptop, I had to go with a 64-bit version of Windows, so Win7 Pro was it. Luckily it only took a couple of weeks for me to get used to it. Now 7 years later I'll have to upgrade again with a new laptop, and I'm hoping it doesn't take me any longer than a couple of weeks to get used to it.

Hello, Sorry I thought the thread had finished. I think the main problem is advancing years. {mid 70's). I used to be quite tech. adventurous but I find I'm increasingly timorous. I know I shall have to change and would do so willingly except for little niggles like loss of 'Live Mail' and, on a sillier level, loss of Win 7 games. ( I've downloaded files for incorporating these into win 10 but why should I have to? ( Brexit saps the spirit!) Thanks to you all!

Not sure about Vue 8 but Vue 4 does work with windows 10. I have it installed on the pro version.
