Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 06 7:01 am)
Thanks for your quick response. I have not been to the Renderosity website for a while and since I had no issues with Poser Pro 1 I had not visited Smith Micro either. I did not even know that Renderosity had bought the Poser program. If you could be so kind as to bring me up to speed. What has caused the problem I am experiencing , how do I fix it. I went to the link you gave me I see it is a page for the Poser pro 11.2 upgrade. So what does this mean if I install Poser Pro 11.2 and use my current Poser licence all will be good.
Your current version is Poser Pro11.1. Bondware is offering to update your software to version 11.2 at no further expense to you. Your license should be completely valid. When you download and install just make sure that you keep your preference if you have multiple runtimes and have set Poser up in a custom way.
I am curious I downloaded the upgrade and it installed fine but now having problems with my old computer. Apparently it is having problems with CPU/GPU and keeps rebooting during especially complex scene renders. I have another computer i can run it on but I will need to get another version of Poser to install on it so I can transfer all my old Poser stuff and multiple Runtimes on it. How do I get a new copy of Poser 11.2 to do this install on my new computer?

I have been using Poser since version 5 I have bought from Renderosity a lot over the years. I bought a new computer in 2017 and the version of Poser 9 I had would not work on my new 64 bit Win 10 desktop, so I found a deal on the internet to upgrade from any current licence and version and bought Poser Pro 11 for home use, not business. I think I paid $79 at that time I see it's $99 now. When I went to activate it today it says my max number of activations has been reached and my Licence is no good. It worked fine yesterday. I did not buy Poser with the written contract that I was only getting a set number of uses. I bought it as the only version I would need for home entertainment till I had to get another computer. What is going on here ? I am getting no response from Smith Micro or Renderosity management. I am a registered owner at Smith Micro I am baffled as to what the heck is going on here. Thanks SK
