Hi all,

I've been using Poser for years, so I'm not really a new user, but after using Poser 7,10, and now 11, I'm presented with a message to enter my SN again for both Poser 11 and Poser 10, even though I've been using the product for some time. I've input both of these since I took them directly from my Rendo purchases, but they were not accepted, even though I used them initially to activate and user Poser 11.

Any idea what's going on? It looks like I may have to reinstall the whole thing. The message I'm getting is that the option to register the software has expired. Well, if I input the correct numbers, why shouldn't I be able to register now? I'm not even sure I did not register Poser 11.

Thanks, Heather

Have you downloaded and installed the 11.2 update yet?

I just did that, and after reconnecting my Runtime, it seems to have worked. I wasn't asked to put in any additional serial numbers either. I hope this is a permanent fix, so thanks very much for the solution!

I also asked Renderosity and filled out a form at posersoftware.com to find out exactly what happened here.

Smith micro has sold poser to Bondware, Rendo's parent company and closed down their server which later versions of poser (poser2014, poser 11 and 11 pro) needed to contact at regular intervals to check the licence. The 11.2 update changes poser to now contact the Bondware server. As a bonus if you only had poser 11 standard you now have poser 11 pro.

Also did you notice on the page you downloaded the update from the link to additional content? This require you to enter your existing poser 11 serial number to get the content for free which includes the Hivewire figures (Dawn Dusk Luna and horse), extra clothing for LaFemme and much more.

Poser 10 shouldn't have been affected but maybe there was some "cross contamination" that once poser 11 was blocked this somehow affected poser 10

SCHEISS POSER.jpg
