I feel your pain really I do . But I actually find daz Iray much faster than firefly or superfly when rendering at sizes at 1080 dpi for HD animation. if fact I found daz faster as a whole than poser pro for creating and rendering animation. , But i think it the productions speed has alot to do with what the artist are use to working with. I've been making poser and daz animations over a little over 10 years so both are very good in my book. But i favor daz over poser. because its so much easier to work with with greater results .
I started out with poser for animations. but found daz so much easier for animation that i almost completely use daz for animation now daz and just make gif with poser..
But you can always use Maya with vray , and use the Daz to Maya plugin to get genesis8 into maya But Maya =$$$ & Daz=free. You could get the Reality Plugin to render with daz with but its not much fast than iray. Its still has good results , but not any faster. , I tried lost of software. UE is about the fastest to render daz characters with but getting them into any game engine takes some work.
The fact is when it comes to making animation either with poser or daz & if you want to use daz genesis 8 for assets for animation, its going to take patients to render it . no way around it . I can get my renders to about 11 seconds a frame with a 11 gig 1080ti gpu so it can be done.
if you want to see what can be done with daz you can see 100's of animated short I made with it on my youtoube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/IvySummers
Hi Westcat
I've had some good results with Marmoset Toolbag, but you do have to export your animation via fbx or alembic from Daz Studio, and sometimes there are issues with the exporter and the way Marmoset interprets the data (especially with blendshapes, if using only bone animation, it is not a problem) It is relatively cheap (I believe indie pricing is around 200 bucks) and it is fast (it is a pbr renderer). If you are willing to learn it UE4 is also blazing fast, but has a steep learning curve with textures and lighting (in my experience) Iray is very good, but it is slow. I have to do things like render in passes and composite in other programs. Here's a link to my vimeo page, where almost all of these were rendered in Marmoset

Is there anykind of render software that is compatible with DAZ3D recent G8 products?
I want to be able to render my animatiosn as fast as I do with Poser. Which seems to be about 10+ times faster than DAZ Problems is all the latest and greatest is using G8 and other DAZ products.
I assume also this computer I will be getting soon should provide speeds for rendering as good as one cna get? I have been recently considering hard going over to DAZ3D due to all the new products being made for G8 DAZ3D. However when compared to Poser it seem that DAZ has a brutally slow render speed. I like to make animations, and this is just not going to work unless there is a better render engine out there than IRay ...
This is the computer I am getting soon I trust it should be enough to improve my render times with either Poser or DAZ? Getting this new computer in a week. CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i7-9700K - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super - 2TB Hard Drive + 512GB SSD - White
Besides 32GB of RAM will 512 GB of SSD help at all ?
