Subject: What's up with L'homme????

EClark1894 ( ) posted Thu, 02 April 2020 at 8:48 AM · edited Sun, 28 July 2024 at 9:04 PM

You should all know that I haven't actually done anything with L'homme, yet. It takes me awhile to like a figure. That said, I received an email today about what's new in Poser 11.3 and it mentioned Lhomme as a new standalone figure. But then I noticed something doesn't look right with his shoulder in the picture. Or is it just me seeing things? Let me know if something is up with that shoulder.

you're going to have to provide an image because I don't see anything wrong with the pictures of him yet.

If you purchased L'Homme Pro, there was a recent update to those files. I don't know what those changed are; I haven't looked at the figure yet.

Sorry, Ghosthip. Thought I did post an image.

Earl, that's not an error, or something wrong. It's how Gabe modeled La Femme and L'Homme.

That said, I don't like the obvious roundness of their armpits, and have yet to figure out how to adjust the dials to what I'm used to seeing. Whether or not they were modeled that way to make things easier for content creators to make blouses and dresses for La Femme, and shirts for L'Homme fit better, especially dynamic clothing, I can't say, but it's the only thing I can think of.

It's still wrong, Miss B. Cloth is supposed to be compressed under the armpit.

It's a holdover from when LH was just a morph of LF. That roundness was originally filled with LF's breasts.

Actually, I've hated LF's rounded armholes from the get-go for the same reason. With her arms down, it never looks like her armholes are flattened as they are in real life, and my breasts are not in any way near/under my armpits, and I don't think LF's are either.

Remember, we're talking about Poser breasts here. They have a way of defying physics of all sorts. LOL

Well I suppose, depending on whether an extreme pose was used. I don't usually use extreme poses, so usually don't like the way her armpits look, oh and I rarely use huge breast sizes for my renders with LF.

Online Now!

They added to La Femme 1R1 shoulder-gap-adj left and right morphs to fix that problem. Who knows why they didn't add it to L'Homme? Copy the two morphs from 1R1, and you get the same effect.

But it seems I was right. They need to issue a shoulder fix for L'homme. I mean, I haven't even used him yet, and I could tell something was wrong.

Where is this La Femme 1R1 shoulder-gap-adj left and right morphs "fix" ? The LaFemme Pro I downloaded today only contains the INJ Body Morphs Pro (and the one for the head)

EDIT: Nevermind found it... maybe I should go thru the most more often.

Why is there even a "pro" and a "base"? It's ridiculous. I like La Femme and have almost clicked the proceed to checkout out with her PRO (guffaw) more than once but frankly it's more confusion than it's worth. Is this thing done cooking yet or what?

Do you have to buy "Pro" and then an official morph pack on top of it?

I don't think so, but here is the store link to the Le Femme Pro page.

Well I'll give the PRO a go, why not. Her topology and rigging seems pretty tight. I like the smooth translations feature.

I can Mudbox that thigh gap into oblivion.

Just doing my part ;)

I'm afraid that Lhomme will have to suffer the fate of countless other Poser males, sadly remaining Amateur.
