Subject: Poser 11.3 wants to record my screen?

Since I updated a few days ago, I get the following message popping up on my screen occasionally when using Poser. And in my "system preferences" Poser already has access. This is on a Mac, BTW, running Catalina. Screen Shot 2020-04-05 at 5.27.14 PM.png

This is Catalina wanting permission to access the computer screen when the user wants to use the color picker/tool. The color picker can grab any part of the screen and accepts whatever color is selected. Because of Catalina's tight permissions, this OSX now asks if the user wants to access screen recording to allow color picking all over the screen along with asking access to different areas of the system when you want to save outside of the Documents folder. This only happens on Catalina and not the earlier Mac OSX,

so in summary...this is your OS on the MAC asking to do this. NOT Poser. 😄

as a follow up:

A message appears running Poser on Catalina OS X to allow screen recording. On Catalina OSX In System Preferences> Security Privacy> Screen Recording has Poser listed. The first time that is triggered it requests permission because we try to grab screen pixels when we use the Color Picker. It's not actually recording your screen. It just needs access to the computer screen in order for the color tool to pick anywhere in Poser.
