I don't recommend disabling your antivirus while you are online. Find the real answer. Sometimes it's as easy it seems.

According to other reports with AVG you need to disable Surfshield, then start poser and the library should work, then you can enable surfshield again. Surfshield will then be updated to allow poser communiction

I just got the same problem (blocked plug-in).

And I also found the reason why I got the "blocked plug-in".
But I still can not solve it!

The reason I got the "blocked plug-in" is bacause the "flash player" is too old and then my Mac deactivates the flash player for security.
PS: My Mac says that version of flash has serious security problem.
PS: Flash player version 10.xxx.

So I try to update the flash player.
But the installation of new version of Flash Player just can not be completed!

How come?

Is this has something to do with chrome?
PS: Chrome has different version of Flash Player installled.

This is just a guess, but they all use the same version of Flash. How much memory do you have? And what version of OSX are you using? Also, I've gotten rid of Chrome a long time ago. (I was using Poser 7 then). The browsers I have is Firefox and Safari. And I have no problems. Also, You can try erasing Poser and reinstalling.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

My Poser Libraries re-alive agin!

It is Flash Player's security problem cause Apple to block Flash Player.
I finally update Flash Player sucessfully!
The reason why my installation of new version of Flash Player fail is bacause I did not re-boot my computer.

My suggestion for the process of updating of Flash Player is:

  1. Uninstall older version of Flash Player.

PS: The Uninstaller of Flash Player can be gotten from Adobe.

  1. Re-boot Your Mac.

PS:
Because I did not do this that the installation of new version of Flash Player can not be completed.

  1. Install new version of Flash Player.

  1. Before Apple(or?) block the plug-in(Flash Player v10.xxx), I run Chrome and Poser 2014 without that problem.

  2.  My Mac Mini has 8MB RAM.

  3. I had re-insalled the Poser 2014 Pro, the installation of new version of Flash Player still failed if my Mac was not re-booted.

I dod not know if you run your library on flash or air but you can try this.

You could try using the external library if you don't want to roll back to IE10

Edit Poser.ini to use external library ;
set  : LIBRARY_IS_AIR 1 in your Poser.ini file

If you do roll back, here the download link to Microsoft to prevent IE 11 from being automatically reinstalled...

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40722

Can I do that in a MAC? I would be acessing the library via internet browser? Or it does not changr where the library loads in poser?

@catsy_lu yes, you can! In your Poser Prefs file, which lives in "/Users//Library/Application Support/Poser Pro/11/Poser Prefs" on macOS, and can be opened with a text editor, you can do the same thing. But you don't need to make any changes there if you already know what the URL is.

If you're running Poser Pro 11.3.740 or later, you can just enter ContentLibrary in your browser (or click the link). The version numbers contained in the link may prevent operation on older poser versions, hence the need to get Poser to tell you what it thinks the link should be.

I'm using Poser Pro 2014, and in this folder does not contai that file... Or this is only possible on Poser Pro 11? I'm curious because I hate Poser Native library and used P3Do for years in my Windows Laptop...

I've been using the External Library since Poser 11's first version, and I love it.

I've got PP2014 and I am using the external library ... Edit / General Preferences / Library - and there choose External Library instead of Embedded.

How do I install purchase item to the secondary hard drive? It keeps going to the OS drive, and I don't see any preference to have the content go to the secondary drive? The library keeps asking if I want to automatically install all my purchase items, but doesn't ask where I want it to go.

hborre ( ) posted Thu, 11 June 2020 at 10:02 PM
Online Now!

How are you installing your purchases? If you are installing through the Library, I'm afraid you are limited to its purchase runtime, no way to change that. Your only options are to either use the install from zip feature or use a 3rd party compression program. Either way, you will need to download your purchases manually to your hard drive.

Online Now!

Wherever your runtimes are. If you Create runtimes on your secondAry drive like me, and use the Install from Zip feature of the File menu, then point the program prompt to that runtime, you should be all set.

Okay, where in PP2014 can I see the version exactly to try to access with this link?
