Subject: Search the marketplace just by Poser and not each version?

I'm not sure what's the best place to post this query/suggestion, so admins are free to move this post if appropriate!

Is there a way to filter marketplace searches to all items that will work in Poser, regardless of version? If not, I'd very much like to suggest that there should be such a way!

Right now, if I want to browse what's on sale via Prime, for example, I have to first check the box for Poser 7 and browse items. Then uncheck that box (wait for page refresh), check the box for Poser 8, and browse items. Then uncheck that box (wait for page refresh) and check the box for Poser 9 and browse items. And so on. It's so tedious that I often don't finish the process and thus miss out on all kinds of things for sale!

In theory any product that worked in an earlier version of Poser will work in the current version, but many vendors don't update their products' Poser software compatibility when each new version is released. So those products will never come up if I leave the filter at Poser 11. If I don't feel like going through the long check/uncheck process, often I'll just check the box for Poser 9 or 10 and browse only those items, which of course means I'm missing anything that came out more recently.

I understand why the marketplace might want to include version numbers in the compatibility section of each item for sale, particularly for items that require a certain version or higher. But when it comes to browsing the marketplace, all I care about is if the item works in Poser -- any version -- and yet I don't have that as a filter option! Sometimes I see that option appear at the top of a search results page, so I know it must be possible, but the option isn't available when I'm browsing by categories, like, say, props or hair or Prime or whatever.

So there's my suggestion! :-)

You can check ALL of those boxes and leave them checked to view all items. 😄

The reason I check one box at a time is that each box checked functions as an "AND", not an "OR." So if you check all the boxes for Poser versions, you'll only see marketplace items in which the vendor has specifically indicated that the product works with all Poser versions. For example, try clicking on the Prime Flash Sales link from the Marketplace dropdown, and then start clicking on each Poser version. As you click on each one, you'll see the number of products dwindle. By the time you've clicked all of them, there's only one product still showing!

I can't tell you how many times I've stumbled across items for Poser just through chance that I never found by browsing categories b/c of this problem with the marketplace filters! And I can't be the only one. Having the option to check a box for all things that work in Poser (regardless of version) would almost certainly increase sales!
