Subject: Is there an SDK want to see if my ParticleFX plugin can be ported over...?

I own source code ParticleFX for DS...but getting it to work in iray isnt working right now...If there is a POSER sdk to download that would be great...Or python scripts...?

Thanks for the responses...Took over a month on other forums to get answers to my Iray problem...One day I will figure it out...But until then Poser it is and DS 3delight only...

Oooh, a particle effects system. Neat! Poser was just upgraded to 3.xx version of Python, and most of the effects systems have been implemented through that. There is an SDK,, but what its status is is unknown at this time. Irregardless if there is a free version or not, they are pushing to get P-12 out the door, so the odds of having a stable sdk depends on where they are in the dev cycle.

Now if some crazy coder could recreate a runtime metaball generator, that would take care of particles **and **fluids.

yup I still have that python code for metaform a plugin I betatested back in 2008/2009...It was great for fluids...

I know. If that were mutli threaded (to speed up sim time and collision checking) and brought into the 3x Python code base (so the damned thing would work), you would have a lovely mini version of RealFlow. I doubt it could handle wave sims (but with Bullet, who knows) but showers, broken pipes, flames, smoke and waterfalls would be more than do-able.

I wish Weird Juice had released the source when they stopped supporting it......
