Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 20 6:12 am)
His scripts are no longer for grabs i'm afraid.
"Dream like you'll live forever. Live like you'll die tomorrow."
I had them about five years ago in a sale, Advanced Shaders and its Colorize plugin. I'm fairly sure I could not get them to work in Poser 11.
If you only want it for a tattoo overlay item (second skins), I've fairly sure Poser 11 has a feature that bypassed the old Advanced Shaders for that. I recall seeing something like that (tattoo overlays) demonstrated when Poser 11 was first launched.

Might require avfix

I've gotten D3d's scripts and Colorcurvature's Poser Morph Loader to work in latest build because of AVfix... unfortunately can't get PhilC's All Tied Up easypose scripts to work :(
I have Semidieu's Advanced Render Settings but have yet to install and test.

I have some of his scripts - the for sale ones. Advanced Shaders was free.
Yes, it was so you could layer textures. Second skin clothing, tattoos, etc. I didn't know Poser could do that. I know DS can. How would you do it in Poser?
You can do it in firefly with masks.
Superfly with layers. I've never played with it but I've been messing around with masks quite a bit in firefly. Just do an advanced search Bagginsbill, masks. Older than 200 days, newer than 10 years. Mostly blender node and multiply math functions.
Anyway this seems like a good intro to layers...

Bagginsbill had a very long thread about procedural stockings that might be helpful. But there's a ton of masking threads buried in advanced search.

I think the original point was that there are -were- 3rd party scripts available that for those of us who can't understand math, or don't have the time to mess with complicated node setups or mask placements, could do something that gives good results fast. I enjoyed the availability of such but not holding out that there will be any decent replacements soon.

Oh. Sorry. Was just responding to this question from OP?

Seeing as how he didn't respond I guess my links and such weren't helpful anyway ;)

Thanks for the suggestion on AVfix. I dug out my archives and tried to get the paid Colorize add-on working that way. No, still nothing. Neither the Advanced Shaders launcher nor its Colorize addon can launch in Poser 11.2, when in installed to any runtime (Poser 11 has multiple possible runtimes). There are no error messages, they just don't launch and nothing at all happens.

I'm really bummed that PhilC's All Tied Up scripts don't work in 11. While it's possible to set up easy pose (in a sense) with the dependency editor or Netherwork's Spawn ERC scripts, it's not cascading ERC really. There is EvilInnocence's Tentacles and Tails utility but that does auto grouping and bone set up which I've found to be a bigger PITA than a useful automation. The nice thing about All Tied Up is that it let you ADD cascading ERC to pre existing rigs (grouped and rigged specifically with that in mind from inception). Cascading ERC is way too complex and mind boggling to hack into a cr2 by hand, from my experience. There's really no replacement existing for ATU.

Have you tried https://www.sharecg.com/v/90793/view/8/Script/Freazypose-prototype-0.10

I have it, yes. From my understanding it's based on Ajax's EPU. I have yet to test it. Hopefully it'll provide the type of functionality I'm looking for. The only reason I haven't experimented with it yet is because I haven't been doing any figure creation stuff lately. Eventually I will need that type of ERC again though. 3DCheapskate's projects are always interesting not to mention his documentation is pretty funny. I'll definitely be hanging on to 11 pro when 12 rolls out, strictly for the scripts. We'll see what the future holds I guess.

Is it still available anywhere? I know it used to be a freebie at RDNA (RIP), then was available at DAZ for awhile. They've removed it. I thought I had it, but I can't seem to find it.
There are still products for sale at DAZ and here that require it.
Not sure it would even run on the latest version of Poser. Maybe that's why DAZ removed it from their store.
If it's gone forever...it seems like a functionality that should be built into Poser.
