I know how to turn all of these things into a combined prop without using that script.
1 First export your main figure... name the obj file, upon export, something that will identify it in the hierarchy.
File export wavefront obj
Check these boxes: Include Existing Groups in Polygon Groups, and Preserve Existing Material Names.
Export
2 Now Reimport and check these boxes only: Weld Identical Vertices.
Repeat for additional parented or conformed figures. Each their own export/import with the settings in step1 and 2
Once you have all of your elements exported/reimported/welded and together export the whole lot with the settings I gave in step one and reimport with all checkboxes unchecked.
Everything should be a single object now, uvs are retained, and the poly groups are there but welded at former part divisions. You'll have to reapply materials so I'd save mat files in preparation. Also there might be some numbering attached to material or poly groups, but for your purposes it doesn't really matter

Worked like a charm...thanks!
I actually just exported/imported everything together and it worked just fine. Since it was going to be a statue with everything one material, I didn't need to worry about material zones.
I appreciate the help.
There's also a free python script which might be useful, re: 3D printing. Ockham's "Furniturize", which which appears to strip out unnecessary bits before making a static model.

Here's what I'm trying to do: I've got a figure that has horns and a tail. I want to pose the figure, then save the whole thing as a single prop. (Not really relevant, but I want to use the figure group as statues/idols and it's a lot easier on my system to load props instead of a bunch of figures.) The tail is conformed to the base figure, but the horns are parented to the head. The horns are actually a figure, but they're an old figure and don't actually "conform" to anything, they're just loaded, moved into place, and parented.
What I tried: I posed the figure(s) how I wanted, and then used "Combine figures" from the Figure menu. The main figure and tail combined, but the horns remained a separate figure still parented. I used D3D's Figure to Prop script, which did combine the figure/tail into a prop, but excluded the horns.
So, I suppose my question is how do I get a non-conformed, parented figure to be included in the "Combine figures" process in Poser? I'm running Poser 11.2.
