Subject: Trial Version?

First, is posersoftware.com the same company as Renderosity?

If yes, the download page...

https://www.posersoftware.com/downloads

... says this...

The app includes a 21-day free trial period after which you will be prompted to purchase a license and receive your serial number.

But the sales page on Renderosity says nothing about a trial, best I can tell.

Can anyone clear this up? Thanks!

That's because you purchase full licensed version product at Renderosity and the trial is through official Poser website only

Thank you, but I don't understand your reply.

What is the official Poser website?? posersoftware.com? Renderosity? Something else?

How exactly would I buy Poser and get the trial version?

The official site of course is poser.com .. you can get trial version for free there ( that's what trial means) .. Renderosity promotes and sells the full software

Please stay positive and do proper research ..

You just download the installer from PoserSoftware.com/downloads and install. The software will start in trial mode and you can use that for 21 days before you are required to purchase if you wish. The free trial does not include any of the free included content of figures. ๐Ÿ˜„

You can make the Poser 11 purchase through Posersoftware.com also. Just scroll down the homepage and to the left, you will see the Poser 11 icon and the buy here button. The banner at the top of the homepage is the link to download either the trail or update version of Poser 11. If you currently own Poser 11, Poser Pro 11 or Poser 2014 Game Dev, and have a valid license SN, you are entitled to upgrade/update to Poser 11.3.

My understanding is that Renderosity owns Poser now. Is that correct or not?

Who is Poser.com? I can't even reach that site at all.

Who is posersoftware.com? Is that Renderosity? Is that a re-seller? An affiliate? Something else?

Buyers shouldn't need to do "proper research". There should be a single official Poser site, at a single domain, a site entirely about Poser and nothing else, and which spells out the sales terms clearly.

Speaking of being positive, these tutorials are great, and really showcase Poser as being excellent software.

I'm quite impressed with that tutorial series and how it introduces Poser. But then I come here, and the forum is pretty close to dead. And so it's just kind of confusing when so few people seem interested in 25 year old software which seems pretty impressive in the tutorial series linked to above.

Bondware owns both Renderosity and Poser, Posersoftware.com is run by Bondware.

PoserSoftware.com was set up to de-link Poser from a specific Owners website. That way when a Poser user needs to get help they go to a permanent website and then get re-directed to the current owner. That way such as when Smith Micro sold Poser you know to go to PoserSoftware.com and not figure out is it SMS or Renderosity. With the big change over a year ago and a lot of people never actually going to the owners website you wouldn't know where to go. Even if the web is fast there are still references to Poser belonging to E-Frountier, and that was like 12 years ago?

Poser 5, 6, 7, 8, Poser Pro 9 (2012), 10 (2014), 11, 12, 13
