Maybe you have seen it yet, but on the front page of DAZ site there is a link to the preview of the millennium boys. What do you think? Does this means that Mike 2.0 is soon to be released too?

I love those boys and can't wait, and hope Mike 2 will be released soon too. Sharen

Other than genitals (which generally aren't rendered), how exactly are the Millenium Boys different from the Millenium Girls? I know the Boys are probably based on the Mike base, but at Girls. It even looks like they have the beginning of breasts :o

:( I am not that impressed ...they have breast... they look like the girls... I was hoping for some "ruffNtuff" Boys... niles

I'd have to say I'm rather disappointed as well. Granted the difference in gender appearance between most little boys and girls is the length of their hair... still, little kids all do have different faces. They don't need to be more masculine really, but they ought to look different. The preschooler especially looks just like the girl version. Why not use a different face type? I have preschool pics of all seven of my siblings if it would help DAZ out. ;) There's nothing wrong with the way they look but it's too much the same.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they are still using the vicky mesh. ML

That kind of doesn't make sense to me... now first of all... I don't have the Mil Girls, and I probabably won't be getting them any time soon, and I won't be getting the Mil Boys either probably... but especially if they're based on Vicky's mesh too... what's the point? How would they be different from the Mil Girls, other than in default settings... it would've made more sense to me to base them on Michael's mesh, even if by the time they were resized/reshaped, they looked pretty much the same as the Mil Girls, at least that way you could make them look different... I dunno, I'll shuddup.

Well, the face of the preteen boy is sort of Michael-ish, but I do agree about the rather busty chests. Young boys are pretty flat-chested. it's very rare to find a muscled child. I've seen one little boy on TV who is a body builder, but he looks very strange for a kid of 8 or so. I think the boys need some work. Melanie And yes, I agree that the wedge cut hair is way over-used at DAZ. They have plenty of others to use, why always that one? It doesn't really suit a child, anyway.

Cin- ( ) posted Mon, 22 October 2001 at 9:04 PM

I think the Daz folks use the wedge cut so much because it's theirs... I don't think I've seen any Daz products, that weren't brokered, that use anything that isn't a Daz only product... I could be wrong...

I think that a fresh new look will be appropriate. The millenum boy does not have to be Michael son or Vicky son. Over the last two years DAZ3D did a great job by introducing the millenum family but the community is ready to have also different looks. I think Mickey make more sense for now.

They look plain wrong to me :-( I was placing hopes in them too but they look like another variation on Vicky... and I don't agree about the preteener being Michealish... he looks Vickyish too to me. And yes they should have flat chest - but mostly, their body structure is not that of a typical boy. I surely wasn't like that at that age! Especially head and legs look quite unproper to me. Sad - but I think I'll leave them in the shop if they don't change.
