Subject: Using Carrara to make poser content?

i havent used poser in a long time, cant poser use spline models?> Vertex? or is it wav .obj only? thanks

can a carrara rigged figure be exported to a cr2 file?

I know in the past there were a couple of tutorials on YouTube for creating content for Poser with Carrara and exporting as obj to import was the common workflow back then. One thing I do know Poser does not handle N-gons models with quads are your best friends tris aren't bad but should try to avoid them unless your whole model has been converted to tris

Hi Misty,

Carrara can produce/export obj content for Poser just fine. However, don't spend time rigging in Carrara - it doesn't export cr2 (it does export FBX rigs, but that is a mixed bag)

I created some tutorials for rigging obj content in Poser. Objects (costumes) are rigged the same way, but by using a Poser character for positioning. Then the object is parented to the character.
