Hello All! I am majorly stuck and could really use some help with a project that I am currently working on. I am a Blender user in need of some nicely done skies....I know what you are thinking.... this is BRYCE forum dummy NOT Blender... but Please do not flame me... I am just trying to get some help from those knowledgeable bryce users out there. Here is what I am trying to do. I want to find some nice sky maps (800x800 or larger in JPG format without the sun or anything) that I can use with a skydome in Blender. I have included kinda a sample of what I am doing. Most of the people who have tried to help me with this give me camera shots like pic #1 at the horizon... I need perpindicular shots like #2 of the sky so I can actually use it like wallpaper inside the SkyGlobe. I am looking for Stormy skies, cloudy skies, sunset type skies, evening skies.... anything you would be willing to help me out with... I appreciate the time that anyone would give to help me and will give you full credit for the skies in my project (non-commercial). PLEASE help me... I am at my wits end on this... THANKS SO MUCH!!! Cujo

Green... I can use JPG and TGA but not BMP images... but there is no Sky generator in Blender so I was hoping someone with Bryce might be willing to help me out :) Matt

Well that kinda works... but not quiet right either... still not a whole sky... What I need is a image the is straight up at the sky... With directly overhead in the center of the image... and the horizon around the edges.... Perhaps I am just not explaining myself well :( PLease help :(

I think I know what you are trying to say...you want a pic that when you turn in blender you see the horizon all the way around like in a 3d game enviorment right?where you will have the whole sky from horizon to sky dome right?

Ok...let me try again... And maybe I will explain this right... #1 I am using a dome to try to achieve a Sky effect in Blender. This is a sample of the dome. #2 This is what the dome looks like looking direct up at it... (90 degrees) The horizon should be around the edges of the dome and the overhead sky would be directly in the center of the image. Note: In the first image submitted above, for some reason works GREAT! Thanks Prodag! Only problem is, it makes my sky look too real and makes my model look like plastic :P FoleyPro... for some reason I get a LOT of banding with yours, I think it is because of the bands near the center. I hope this makes sense. I will post a image of what I am using it for below...

Here a image from my animation that I am working on... The animation is a 360 degree "Fly-By" of the iron ore carrier Edmund Fitzgerald. For the animation to work correctly, the sky must be seamless or it will be REALLY noticeable :) I must say that I am VERY thankful for the help and that you folks have the patience to deal with a newbie :) I really meant it... THANKS!
