Subject: Help! Strange glitch with pz3s

Rendis ( ) posted Wed, 09 December 2020 at 11:56 PM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 6:40 PM

Hi everyone. I've been using Poser since v1 but never saw anything like this before. I'm currently using Poser 12. I create scenes, save my pz3s ( well pzz actually). I reopen many times with no issues, then suddenly I get this.Hot Mess.png Anyone have a clue what's happening? It's frustrating to lose work like this. Odd thing is it's a random occurrence. Thanks in advance,

Could it be that you're in the wrong frame of an animation?

Hmm.. So that means I should always make sure that the file is at the first frame? The file is still toast though correct?

for some reason, your file is getting corrupted. I don't know the cause. The last time I have it happen frequently, my hard drive was going bad. I got in the habit of saving incrementally (scenename1, scenename2) so I wouldn't lose all my work. I also had on the autosave to give me more options

I've also had it if my computer crashed while the scene was being saved, but I think you'd know if that was happening.

THanks.. Doubt it's the HD as the computer is not even a year old, but still not impossible. I'll watch it. I never thought of the autosave. Going to activate it. We shall see. For the time being I will be copying everything to a stick drive for safety. THanks again.

If the problem is you're on the wrong frame, moving to the right frame could fix it. Try scrolling to the end on the animation controls, and see if that changes anything.

Well, I haven't tried the scrolling yet. As it happened, I had backups of the corrupted files and they worked fine. I checked and all were at frame 1, so we shall see. Thanks for the advice.
