This is a screen shot of my Gallery stats in October of 2019 - showing 40,004 Views

In December 2019 - I lost over 3,000 (!!!) Views (no picture of that). I was informed then, that this kind of loss was a known issue, and was being fixed. It never was changed - until now.

Now I have lost over 35,000 Views . . . !!!

Please tell me this is not the “fix” I was told you were working on - last December. ?

Didn’t notice till I saw the two pics together that the Favorites stat is also quite off. I know you are fiddling with the site, but the returning stats of other artists seem more like their regular stats than mine do.

I am just hoping you have not finished with the fiddling with the stats.

I think it has something to do with deleted images from your gallery in the past... where the views for a deleted image were just ghosting. It seems like a more accurate algorithm now... you delete the image you lose the views it had, you lose the likes it had and you lose the 3 reward points that were awarded to you for that image.

You are not alone dragongirl. I lost over 40,000 views yet all my old images are still in my gallery. I don't know when this purge of views happened but it was recently for me. I have 1464 as of this post. Now there seems to be a problem with people trying to upload images to the gallery.

enigma-man and I both have similar 10’s of thousands of Views missing - AND we both have similar site histories, in that there have gaps of some years between the older images in our galleries, and our current entries.

Could this more unique Gallery situation be in any way responsible for the problems in our Gallery stats, while many other people seem to be ok in their stats?

There may well be something to my idea that the current stats for members with significant gaps between older and newer posts.

Please note the - VAST - discrepancies just between current Views of an image in an older Gallery, and the Views shown in the Gallery counters

It isn't a programming code problem. Everyone would be affected instead of you and I and possibly others. The code doesn't need to be changed or rewritten because the counters are working and tallying the stats. All it takes is the programmer or whomever to edit the number(s) in our profiles to what they should be. It is not expected to have the problem rectified immediately. Dragongirl and myself are being patient. However, it is looking like the problem is not worthy of solving. I hope I am wrong.

How many people actually go through and keep track of their numbers, though?

... so I did. The numbers per image do not add up to the totals. I used a spreadsheet (because I do not have many images, this was a feasible experiment!) and my listing is short by about 600 views out of 6364, but my likes are inflated by about 30. I have only ever deleted one picture, and it is not included in my spreadsheet. It may be tallying something... but I don't know what.

I could be affecting everyone. Who knows? I don't pay attention to that stuff, so I wouldn't know either way.

Normally, people would not notice slight changes up or down, but one day you see 45064 then 1500 the next, you might wonder what happened and why when only a few people are/were affected. Needless to say, the developers have restored my total number of views to what they should be and I thank everyone involved for their efforts.

I rarely look at the numbers and don't actually know what they should be; I just read the comments and then comment on other members' pictures.

FYI

Since the Gallery stats have been reinstated, my Views and Likes are close to actual numbers, but the Favorites are not even adding in the current numbers.

Image above shows Favorites at 126 in last October, and this picture shows Favorites at 135:

Even though Favorites added in the last two pictures alone are 16 - 126+16 = 142

I think the October number was probably inaccurate anyway.

This week, adding up Favorites in my entire Gallery, they come to about 440.

Don’t know if you know this already, or if this Is peculiar to my Gallery. Would appreciate this being fixed, anyway.
