Also if I purchase a model for Poser or DAZ Studio can I use the object in Vue. I usually posed my scenes in DAZ Studio but prefer to render in Vue to take advantage of Vue's ecosystem. Also I find I can better pose objects with the DAZ characters (Michael, Victoria, Geneis, etc) to give me a proper scale.
You can find the Licenses explained here under the Policies tab https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/wiki/?policies&extended
WOW... I am truly stunned that none of the staff at Renderosity has the decency to explain what the difference is in layman terms. And this is ONE of the reasons why I post at Renderosity so seldom. In the past this was a wonderful forum. Now it is the LAST place I post.
Ironic that a couple of days ago I got an e-mail about the products being sold here. YET no one can answer my question.
The basic thing is that an extended license will allow you to use the asset in a game engine (in general terms read the license for exact terms). If all you are doing is making pictures out of the assets with your own computers then you can use the regular license. So you can take a figure chop off the head and use that head on another figure for anything you do yourself. However you can not give/sell/transfer it someone else. So if you use Poser/DAZ to work with a figure and then transfer it to Vue and make a picture out of it then all is good. And most of the time you can then take that picture and sell it, as long as it does not contain copyrighted images/logos.

Can someone kindly inform me what is the exact difference between a regular license and extended? What are the benefits of an extended license? Do you require an extended license to customize a model or kit bash a model if the model is only to be used in 3D render or illustration and not be offered as a 3D object?
Cheers & many thanks...
