Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 4:12 am)
There are two potential problems and approaches here. The first thing to know is that about a third of the items a user could purchase from the old defunct Cornucopia store (the main Vue store) were licence locked. After the site hack which killed the store and the old Vue, many were left with items that had purchased but could no longer open and use. If you have one of those, you need to go through E-on's support system and they may or may not be able to unlock it for you. Also, it's said that some of the Cornucopia models did allow export, so yours may still be one of those. Note also that many sold Vue models also came with a OBJ alternative, so check your archived installer ZIP files to see if you still have those.
The second problem is then if you have the model in a native VOB or some other locked-in Vue format, for instance if it shipped as free content with Vue. That's unlikely to export to anything.
Therefore your backstop approach is to find out who made it, and if they originally offered a OBJ along with the VOB. In some cases, such as London224, you'll find their Vue stuff is now sold on the Renderosity Store and there are OBJ versions. The same for RaffyRaffy at the ArtStation Store and he has added Blender files to the mix. In other cases you may want to try to contact the maker directly, and perhaps ask if you can help them get an OBJ version onto a store for sale.

Hey there Everyone! Is there anyone here who would be willing to translate a Vue object into .obj format? I have this great Old Farmhouse model from 'Tablesaw', but it's for Vue. I can translate just about any format, but it seems only Vue opens Vue objects.. :(
