Subject: Creating a new surface on geometry from within Poser?

So I have a necklace I made in ZBrush. Well ZBrush messes up and removes named surfaces if you take it back into the program to add new "polygroups" or for me translates into Material Surfaces when setting things up in Poser using those. So I'm in Poser and realized that I forgot to put a border on a jewel piece and I THINK I have enough geometry to create a border but I'd like to do that from within Poser.

Is there a tutorial on how to do that or am I out of luck doing that sort of operation from within Poser?

Thanks so much Richard

Not sure exactly what you are intending, but if you mean to make a new material zone.. Use the grouping tool, select the poly/faces you wish to have the new material, click assign materials and give it a name. Leave the grouping tool and save the object to your library. Poser should make a new object that has the new material you made assigned to the poly/faces you designated.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

OK. Thanks so much! I knew it was the grouping tool but didn't know the procedure. Thanks again!
