Anyone know of a good source for BVH Motion Capture files for importing into Poser? Ive found some imaging equipment sources, but cant afford 10 grand to go out and buy a suit. LOL. They had two freebies to download. Two isnt gonna get me anywhere. Please share any relevant sites you may know of. TIA. John

I found a bunch on the Poser4 2nd CD - It lists the companies they came from - try visiting their websites; They may have more?

Charactermotion has the most bang for your buck but let met tell you we're talking $$$. I have the megamocap bundle. I think you'll be much more satisfied to go with Schlabber's pose collection. use these as key frames. they try to make these collections generic but check the lists carefully. i think you'll find they aren't going to do you much good. 3Dcafe sells the Forge stuff for about 139 i think.

Go to forge,s store. There are some samples for P4woman, man and the horse, I think. Robert

The above mentioned www.characteranimation.com has 2 freebies, updated once in a while, from their "MegaMoCap" product. You could also download the free demo of Credo Interactive's LifeForms 3.9, with might come with some, if not you can make your own with it. Metacreations (remember them?) has an old product called "Dance Studio", which you can make your own BVH files. You can find that one in the discount bin for about $10. Also available on-line for $5-$20, depending where you look. If you have 3D Studio Max's Character Studio, it comes with about 50 BVH files that work fine in Poser. And if you REALLY want to dig around, try a search for "BioVision". They're the chaps who came up with BVH files in the first place, and there are a few freebies scattered about the net. You really have to look hard to find any BVH files, though if you spend enough time looking you'll find something. I searched for about 5 hours last week and ended up with about 20 new ones. If you go to the metamotion website, they have 30 large files to download. Guitar strumming, drumming, etc. They are fairly decent. I think this site changes the freebies from time to time as well. Mark
