Subject: Auto Comform and how to get around it.

Hello!

A lots of poser figures have an auto conform function in conforming outfits, but for obvious resource reasons, can never have all the morphs that V4 might actually have installed.

The issue is that these figure do not allow easy altering of the morphs to adjust the figure to an better fit.

thanks!

Is there a way to turn off auto conform or at least allow manual adjustments?

thanks!

If you don't want something conformed to your figure, select the item and go to figure>conorm>none. Then you can pose it how you want.

If you need a morph in the clothing that doesn't come with it, go to figure>copy morphs and choose the figure you're conforming to, and then pick out the morphs you want to copy. Then on the properties tab (next to the parameters) choose include morphs under when conforming.

If neither of these options is what you need, and you still have poke through, you can use the morph brush. That can be a little more involved, but it's not difficult. If you want to go that rout and need help, I can help you.

V4 comes with a series of magnets that can help clothing conform better and remove most poke-through. It is applied after you pose V4 and conform to her clothing. However, as RedPhantom posted, the morphs need to be present in the clothing, and the only way to accomplish this in P11 and P12 is to copy those morphs using the Copy Morph feature.
As a matter of clarification, Poser does not auto-conform clothing unless you drag and drop the content onto the figure. You can simply load clothing into the scene by either double-clicking the Library icon or using the check icons on the bottom of the Library.

Thanks for the feedback. The issue i am having is once a figure is conformed to your main character, some figures automatically apply the morphs of the character and you can not manually alter the morphs to try tweak the setting to stop poke through. Adding extra morphs can help, but say for example, you want to use the bulk morph to just loosen a fit it either does nothing, or alters the core character instead. Apologizes for my bad terminology perhaps its more a of a cross talk issue?

Poke through is a definite problem especially when posing a character after conforming clothing. Some vendors include additional morphs to deal with such problems. Extreme poses are another source of poke-throughs, bends that exceed normal set parameters are very unforgiving. Your two options are either hiding body parts if the clothing covers most of the character or using the Morph Brush to correct the offending pokes.
