3D File Formats in Blender
A review about file formats in the VFX ndustry discussing their pros and cons
Then he shows sevral examples of importing FBX in Blender from Maya/Houdini. Showing issues of the FBX importer and how to fix them. Also featuring the Better FBX addon.
Some use cases with Alembic. And how to import shaders with Alembic files (pairing it with an FBX import).
He also compare OBJ import with Blender and Better FBX (it is a 25$ addon). Better FBX does a better job with materail names,
That guy Blender Bob was senior modeler in an animation studio. I find his videos mostly interestring, full of tips.
