Subject: Poser 10 Libraries disappeared again after fixes a few months ago

I checked the App Data/ Roaming Data and Library_Embedded_ type is still 1. LIBRARY_IS_AIR IS 0. I have 2 copies of Poser 10 on my PC because I had to re-install after a hard drive crash in February and I have the new 10 plus the old libraries imported. It's been working fine since then, worked fine last night. Do I need to buy Poser 12? There isn't even a place in Forums for 10. Poser glitch.jpg

This forum is for all versions of Poser, so you posted in the right place. Only Poser 12 has its own forum.

Not sure what the problem is, but so far, you're the only one who has posted about it. (The last time, there were a bunch of people who had the problem.) So maybe it's something specific to your system. Perhaps a firewall/security issue?

Also...if you do want to upgrade, you could get Poser 11 instead. It's much cheaper. I have both, and IME, so far the main benefit Poser 12 offers is that it renders in Superfly faster.

Online Now!

Have you tried detaching the Library from its docked mode? IIRC, that is the only viable solution to having a fully functional Library.

It seems you are running Poser 10 and not "Poser 2014 Pro" after flash has been taken down the Library can not be enabled in Poser 10 only in Poser 10 Pro. If you are in possession of Poser 2014 Pro then do as fallow to enable the external Library in your Settings Poser 10 does not support that option.

I haven't tried it myself, but maybe this can help you:

https://ruffle.rs/

From their webpage: _Ruffle is a Flash Player emulator written in Rust. Ruffle runs natively on all modern operating systems as a standalone application, and on all modern browsers through the use of WebAssembly. Leveraging the safety of the modern browser sandbox and the memory safety guarantees of Rust, we can confidently avoid all the security pitfalls that Flash had a reputation for. Ruffle puts Flash back on the web, where it belongs - including browsers on iOS and Android! _

Thanks everyone!! Randy- I agree about Poser 11, an option I'm seriously considering, since 10 has this fatal flaw. I would think if it's a firewall issue it would have presented itself soon after the new computer purchase instead of waiting a few months and then striking out of a clear blue sky, but I'm no genius, just a simple country artist. Hborre, I will try undocking the library- if it isn't already too late.

Okay, I upgraded to Poser 11, imported all my old libraries, and am really enjoying it. That was the last straw with Poser 10. No software should have such a fatal Achilles heel. I fixed it once, but that new blank space for libraries was different from the old one, didn't have the Flash logo. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I now have proper looking libraries, which was not possible with the old fix. Poser 10 going splotto was a blessing in disguise. Life goes on.

I don't think they imagined in the Poser 10 days that Flash would prove to be such an Achilles heel. (It was a pain even before it was discontinued, with frequent upgrades to fix security holes that broke Poser.)

Anyway, congratulations on upgrading. Poser 11 comes with a bunch of free content - La Femme, Hivewire figures and animals, etc. The only problem is that now you have to check to make sure you don't already have it before you buy anything in the Marketplace. ?
