Subject: Not sure what I did

I'm using Poser 11 and I must have done something. 1) my icons are no longer the red and white ones with the figure in the symbol. Now all of them look like books on a shelf. 2) If I'm looking at something in explorer and click it to load it never loads the object, it loads La Femme, Anyone have any ideas what I've done?

Can you post a screencap? It sounds like the icon association has been changed. Won't know until we see a screencap image.

"Not sure what I did"

Story of my life.

Anyhow, that sounds like the icons are now the regular "Library" icon which does look like books on a shelf. Maybe your prefs is corrupted.

It does sound like the file associations have been changed.

Mine are constantly being taken over by Canon/Photoshop. Canon RAW files end in .CR2, and they're way more commonly used than Poser.

Assuming you are in Windows OS environment. In windows explorer, right click on a CR2 file, click on properties, look at the Opens With item. Mine said Opens With Photos. I changed it to Poser executable. Done. All my icons are now looking like the good old red and white Poser ones. Do this for all your library file types - PP2, MC5 or MC6, CM2, HD2, and so on. You only need to process one file of each type.

Is your software and runtimes in an external drive? This happens when my PC doesn't recognize my external drive. Part of your software is on your C and part on your external is my guess.
