Has anyone seen it? The videos. All CGI, and what are they using? Characters appear so realistic, wondering what are they using? The arm, leg bends is nothing we are using. The hair strands. Just amazing. Here is a sample video, but the CGI start 3:42 at in video. Abba CGI

I found this article:

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/sep/02/abba-reunite-for-voyage-first-new-album-in-40-years

Abba’s digital avatars were created using motion capture technology, similar to that used by Andy Serkis and others to portray CGI beasts in Hollywood movies: the group was filmed in skintight suits for the lifelike recreations. Wayne McGregor, resident artist at London’s Royal Ballet, choreographed the band’s performance, and an 850-strong team from George Lucas-founded effects company Industrial Light & Magic designed and animated the de-aged avatars from the footage.

Just saw it, I assume that it is only the end part that is CGI and the rest is just old footage?

Its nicely done, nothing to say to that, however the scenes are fairly short and a bit dark, so its difficult to get a good look.

Well it's ILM. Cutting edge with a computer array more powerful than Nasa's behind it.

And 850 people working on it. Currently waaaay beyond a single person's capability.

Still...you have to wonder if in the future it's going to be really hard to tell real videos from fakes. I remember when Michael Jackson's "Black or White" video just stunned people with the morphing between different faces. Now there's phone apps that can do that.

Been using Poser since 4. And I am surprised about 20 years later. Sorta looks like we haven't moved at all to full realism, along with the constant PC upgrades. I feel we should be more past realism. It kinda makes me feel jealous. This (image) been my latest for realism, and still needs more effort. Because CGI characters is going to take over holly wood. We seen it in Blade Runner 2049 and others.
