If you are looking to build a folder or subfolders of poses quickly bypassing the normal Library process of individually creating them, the solution is simple. As a matter of information, each entry into the Favorites Tab is basically a content shortcut and a copy of the .png icon. To duplicate this externally, locate the Collections folder within the P11 Content Runtime. This is normally within the Libraries folder. Enter the Collections folder and generate whatever folders/subfolders you need to assemble your files. Locate each file that you want to place into the Collections folder and create a shortcut to that file. Place the shortcuts in the Collections folder then return to the original folder and generate a duplicate of the .png icon for each pose and place those in the same location as your content. Depending on how many files you need to transfer, the process can become a bit tedious. But it should save you the headache of using Poser exclusively to populate the Favorites Tab. BTW, what I just describes is based on the PC, but it should work the same on a MAC.
hborre, Thanks! I made a start on your solution, but since the Poser Library cannot "see" the shortcuts (Mac "aliases") to the original pose files and clicking on the copies of their .png files does nothing, it didn't work. I suppose I could copy the original pose files/folders over to the Collections location, but that would be greatly reduce available drive space. The other choice would be to actually move the original pose files/folders over to Collections, but I'm not sure if or how that might affect their functioning. I'll experiment and see. Thanks again for your willingness to help!
There is much discussion on this topic in this thread:

I'm not sure if things have changed since then. There is also a discussion on this top in the poser 12 forum with more information.

Thanks, hborre and davo. I've located the pose folders I want quick access to from Favorites, one at a time, opened them in the Library, Shift+Click to select all the items in them at once, then click the Favorites "Star" which opens the Favorites dialog. In that, I add a new folder, give it a descriptive name, and click "OK." A bit more cumbersome than just being able to drag a shortcut for an entire folder into Collections, which doesn't work in Poser, but this does the job without having to load up my drive with full copies of the target poses ... and it works!

Is there a way to add a directory of Poser items to the Favorites tab, rather than just a single item?
I have a number of different directories of poses for Michael 4 around my Runtime, mixed in with lots of other pose directories. I'd like to be able to get to the various M4 pose locations without having to search through the whole Runtime of poses. Being able to put a kind of "shortcut" to each of the M4 pose directories in Favorites would be a big help, but I only know how to add individual files, not whole directories, to Favorites. I'm not a fan of the P11 Search tab; results are not as specific or informative as I'd like.
(BTW, I'm on a Mac, so don't be confused by my use of PC terms like "directories" and "shortcuts" above -- "folders" and "aliases" in Mac lingo.)
Any ideas? Thanks.
