Gorgeous picture 😍
The piercing is not from Saphire Nishi but from Inception8 but also Devianart.

I wanted to see if I was able to mimic the sun shining in a room. Bagginsbill's fog capsule to the rescue... 😁

Thank you! 😁Wow, great. Do you have a link to that?
Bagginsbill explained how to do it, long time ago. I think that at the (glorious) time of RuntimeDNA. I put all this in a compound node, attached to a PoserSurface node.
You can get it here.
Just unzip the 3 files and drop them somewhere in a Material folder of one of your runtimes.
In this picture, the cutie is in front of a too tall double door: I hide them and put two black square, one up and one down, to mimic a smaller window. One infinite light outside.

I hope you don't mind, as I just downloaded it as well. It's one of the few of his items I hadn't gotten before his site disappeared, though I did grab a handful I was able to find on the Web Archive. Thanks for providing it, as I like how your render looks, so it will definitely come in handy.Loool... I was wrong, not you! Sorry about that.

If you actually use Cycles, this is how you would connect the nodes:

Very nice! I assume you're using BB's Fog Capsule to soften the render. Very effective if you don't want to take it into post-production, if that's the case.

You're welcome. A pleasure to contribute. I've been spending quite a bit of time poking around the Material Room and translating Blender shaders to Poser. I've even managed to incorporate Poser's colorramp into Superfly renders. This is one example that I managed to steal from Blender.
A Flip-Flop Car paint shader.
I wondered what it looked like on an organic model. Here it is:
Awesome 😂

I decided to go back and do some modifications to my Polka Dot Material Shader because I felt that there was a greater potential to do more with it than just rendering multicolor dots on a white surface. This is what I came up with:
And this is just a sampling. This is all procedural and I can create the effects on conductive and dielectric surfaces.
I have to agree, especially the semi-transparent one at the end.

Thank you for posting the shader nodes @hborre. Not sure when I'll get to try it out, but I will definitely be trying it out.

Shameless plug...Looking good, Ghostship! Clearly I need to up my fabric normals game.

Fortunately, I saved this to a PZ3 file. I used the Superfly default settings that are set to 4-pixel samples, no post-processing, and no de-noising. You can see a little bit of noise in the upper areas of the render. I used the standard default lighting. At the time, I was playing with the colorramp node with Superfly rendering. If you are curious, this is the Material Room set up for I modified for this render, all the nodes are highlighted. This little bugger is included with Poser's legacy content.
I've read somewhere in a forum (here or at RDNA?) that any image that's being used for Bump/Transparency should have its filtering set to None.
Is it true? only for Firefly or systematically, Cycles-based rendering included?

I was thinking that it were the same rule as for the gamma factor.I have seen that mentioned elsewhere also and I think it makes sense. I'm not sure about transparencies but bump and displacement maps could benefit from changing that setting, especially where organic models are concerned. Probably worth experimenting with.

I believe the filtering only affects firefly renders so no need to worry about it in superfly.

The idea with this picture was to develop and use the kind of lighting that has been explained in another thread. and I was trying to have decent lamp shades that let us guess the presence of a bulb lighting the scene.

Nice kitchen scene. May I ask where you found it, or did you create it from scratch?
I also like the lighting. It looks soft and natural.
