Subject: Hair not showing up in mirror reflection

Sunfire ( ) posted Thu, 30 June 2022 at 5:45 PM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 10:00 PM

Hi all!

I'm using P12, Ghostship2's superfly hair shaders, and a scene (environment, lights, camera) from Spicey La Femme. The hair is Propschick's Jazz Hair, looks good in the render, until you look in the mirrors, and then... the hair is gone. Any idea why?

Windows 10 home version 21H2, jic. I will also mention that my P12 has been... flakey lately. I'm wanting to make sure this is something that is my fault, before I go mention this elsewhere. Also previously done hair came out just fine in the same scene.

And as a side note, you won't experience that with Superfly rendering so that is one feature you don't need to search for.

Glad resolved: Other possibility was your Poser reaching 'max out' stage and about to throw errors about texturing etc before quietly losing chunks of scene...

Hair may be sufficiently hi-poly to tip render engine into 'gibbering'...

So sorry to disillusion you but, what I posted was a Superfly render.
