OK, I always knew I had to get a dragon, and a knight to go along with him (I guess). I also have the DAZ castle, which doesn't seem to be good for much. But just what do I do with a dragon, a knight, etc?! I must be dense or something to ask such a question?!

Here is the DAZ Knight. I can find his props. I even have his textures. But what do I do with him and the dragon? Gee I guess I should have a damsel in distress? How do I know how to dress a damsel in distress, or any other people who might happen by? Is there a good web site I could see that helps show me all this stuff?

Any freebie stuff/links?! Seriously, I bought Poser 1, and it sat unused on the shelf because I couldn't figure it out. Then along came Poser 4, and I've been rendering up a storm. But I am still learning. And when I think of Knights & Dragons, I realize just how little I know/remember of the world they might inhabit.

OH, I confess I've had my eyes on ReadyMade Worlds.... Absolutely fantastic stuff. Now I need to save my money again.

Personally, I see the two of them facing off in a vicious round of poker, but that's just me ...

take a look at one of the many fantasy sites "out there" take a stroll through the galleries here.. use your imagination, you can have them fighting, co-operating, or even just ignoring each other 8) heh heh .. playing Poker 8 ) being chased up trees by viscious kittens.. the possibilities are limited only by your imagination 8 ) Cheers Ron

First, get some Ready Made World Products (plug, plug). A dragon knight has to have somewhere to live, right? Then get the Dragon Tack at: http://www.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=2939 I always thought a dragon knight was one who had TAMED a dragon and went into battle alongside him, not against him. Seems a little more diverse from the usual dragon-slaying drivel. Just a thought.

Thanks for the tips.

I suggest you have the dragon rescue a damsel from the surly knight. Dragons have gotten a bad rap. They deserve to be the good guys for a change.

Poker is a modern game, but by 1370 or so, there were already warnings about people gambling on card games. Proper period games might include arm wrestling (venture keg of beer for treasure chest), flying contests from the castle wall (the knight gets a banner to use as a parachute), juggling, telling riddles, and various ball games. There is a song called Gilda and the Dragon, where she most emphatically did not want to be "rescued". Personally, I'd like a nice flight at dawn, chasing back the shadows.... Carolly

Don't forget to get my fix for the dragon's chest, it is in the freestuff here. Just search for me. It fixes those two plates that look out of place. Also you can dress up the dragon with some props from my affiliate artist site, link above.

ronknights ( ) posted Mon, 29 October 2001 at 11:19 AM

I downloaded the dragon fix, but frankly don't know enough about dragons to know if he looked broke!! Thanks for the clarification

Maybe even try your local library? Look into childrens books on the subject, books on King Arthur's time, search the internet for Merlin's time period and any other ideas? Funny you should mention "playing Poker 8 )" - cause I'm working on a pic of a Dragon and a few other characters playing poker! Basically it shows what the characters do behind the scenes, between "pictures" :p Just a Thought, TMgraphics
