Meet Cherry Blossom, Misty Blossom's older sister. She's my new character for Dina V. As you can see, she is heavily morphed on both the head and body for a completely new look. Even her back has a couple of new morphs! She also incorporates the "official" DSI shoulder fix. The package includes the body magnets used to make her (to help fit Dina's clothes to Cherry's new body), 6 face poses tweaked especially for Cherry, a light set, mat poses and high res texture/bump maps. She's up in the GRC store now and will be up at Renderotica later today. Hope you like her. Diane

A real beauty! Just placed my order! (really couldn't wait!) Lovely work! :-))

Ding-dangit, I guess I placed my order too late and will not get mine until tomorrow. :( Diane, one thing that I can't tell from any of your renders... do Cherry's body morphs fix Dina's spine? Dina has such an extreme spinal curve that I don't honestly believe she'd be able to stand. Phoenix

I did do some work on her back. Not sure exactly what you mean, but I brought out the spine area between her shoulders (and gave her a hint of a backbone).

I did get mine tonight! Happy me! See the little break in the mesh at the juncture between chest and abdomen? It loos like you applied a magnet to the chest that should also have included the ab, but I can't figure out which one it is. It doesn't show at all from many angles, but from others it looks like a very sharp break, especially from a distance. Phoenix

hmmm. I didn't see that and I thought I looked at her from all angles. I will take a look.

The left is Dina's original profile and the right is with a rather crappy magnet I tried to fix her spine. I stink with magnets. But you see the S shape of her spine, how far it goes back at the shoulder and then waaaay forward at the tummy level? People are not made that way. An actual person with a spine like this would not be able to walk. the weight that ought to be carried by the hips would be forced upon the mid-spine causing huge pain. It's possible that the model arches her back a lot to hold up those knockers, and this illustrates rather well why women with large breasts have back problems. Anybody come up with a better magnet to fix this? Mine's chunky. Phoenix

Diane, This looks like a really nice character......however, I just bought Dina recently and I'm a little pissed that I have to pay for yet another character (I haven't decided I will) to get the shoulder fix......I feel Dina is very reasonable, but I can't afford to buy additional characters to get fixes..... Krel, As I understand it, the shoulder fix is going to be a freebie in the form of a replacement CR2 for Dina. The Cherry character is a separate thing... only buy if you want the morphs and textures. It's easy to fix the shoulders yourself though. You only have to alter a few numbers to the settings Diane gave in a post yesterday or the day before and then resave the figure. Phoenix

Krel, The shoulder fix for Dina will be released as a cr2 in free stuff as soon as I can get it packaged up. I just wanted people to know that Cherry incorporates the fix already. In the meantime, if you'd like to do your own fix (it's easy and probably faster than downloading a cr2, plus you won't have to transfer morphs if you've morphed your Dina), here are the settings. Just apply them to the right shoulder and then apply right to left symmetry. When Poser asks if you want to copy the joint parameters, say yes. Then resave the cr2. You can also apply these settings to Dina's clothing items so they will match. I believe dan will be putting out new cr2's for his clothing items, but like I said, it's easy to do yourself. PS - phoenixamon, I did a fix for that ab problem and sent out an updated cr2 to those that already bought her. Thanks for catching that.

Diane Got the fix already - Thanks for the quick action!

Diane: The new face is gorgeous. Forget what I said earlier. It's just too bad a face with proportions this correct wasn't the original figure. Is there any chance in hell we'll learn anything about the original model for Dina? Seems like the only model photo we're ever going to get is Dan Farr's for Michael.

Duane, I'm pretty sure that this is the original Dina. http://www.dinamarie.com/

Diane, Thanks for the quick fix! She's a lovely character, and I appreciate the support as well. Phoenix

wyrwulf: Holy s**t. Diane, I really owe y'all an apology now. Of course, I think the body's not the same, but...

Krel ( ) posted Tue, 30 October 2001 at 4:41 AM

OK, thanks Diane......I'll try the fix and if I screw it up I'll look for the CR2....... Krel
