Subject: Sales ended early

IAmNobodySpecial ( ) posted Wed, 24 May 2023 at 12:19 AM · edited Sun, 05 January 2025 at 5:03 AM

I spent at least a couple hours (plus jumping on periodically all day) putting together a cart I liked today. All items were on sale, all items allowed the coupon. Since time zones are always a problem I checked each item individually a few minutes before 12:00am midnight (Central Time). The sale timer on each one said there was 1 hour a a few minutes remaining. So I kept shopping.

Five minutes later at 12:02am when I viewed my cart, the total jumped from around $15 to $54 and no items were on sale anymore. (see below)

So after all that time spent putting together a cart I'm happy without spending a lot of money, I end up with nothing. And I'm writing this at 12:16am - 44 minutes before the timer told me those sales would end.

PLEASE, fix the timers. I just don't have that kind of spare time available to invest just to come up empty for no good reason. I work almost every hour that our business is open all week, literally working myself to an early grave. This is the only brief time I had away from work. It was all wasted...

Um, does CET have Summer equivalent of UK's BST, when clock is ahead of GMT/UT by an hour ??

Hello,

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Our countdown system wasn't accounting for the hour difference in CDT compared to CST and the timers have now been corrected. You shouldn't see this happen again.

Tangential, decades before EU, our family was on a drive/camp holiday, UK to/from Greece. We had to reset our 'navigation' clock five times, were almost late for return Channel ferry due yet-another clock offset...
