Subject: Is hivewire a 3rd party.source?

Zach, advisor with Daz3d in trying to help me install hivewire ’s BIG DOG in my Daz Studio referred to hivewire as a  3rd party source! Wotheheck, you sell their products without a warning? I’m a new daz user and just as confused as when I was battling with Poser, when I loaded hivewire products with no problem. Please tell me how to get around this and, hopefully, load big dog safely?

Well, technically renderosity is also a 3rd party source for Daz Studio--anything not sold by Daz3d is. But Hivewire Big Dog loads fine into DS, as long as you are loading the DS version and not the poser version.

Judging from your screencap, you do not have the correct DS files installed; there should be a second compressed file offered by Renderosity that contains the appropriate content.  The DS content file format is DUF.  Go back into your account and download the second ZIP folder or check your hard drive for 2 Hivewire Big Dog ZIP folders.

Are those the only files in the Poses>Base folder from what I can see in your screencap?  If it is, you are missing some .PNG files.  ATM, I only see partial screencap images so I have no clue where your files are located on your drive or how they're mapped out for DS.  Please show me your DS Content Library tab.

That should suffice.  Find your Hivewire Big Dog folder to reveal what you have installed.

AUTqk48jPGApf4plPJAATZXmSl3fGedXdp69KNPJ.pngMr. Borre, I don't follow your last comment. I find this on my HD but I don't know how to drop it into the right place to 'install" it???

Please be explicit, because I'm still lost in a computer where the sequence of files is horizontal instead of vertical where ypou can see exacty where something IS...

thanks for you willingness to help...

I suggest that you go to the webpage for HiveWire Big Dog and click on the readme file located at the Product Files on the right.  That should open an HTML page with the Vendor's install information as well as the list of where all the folders and files should go in DAZ Studio.  Ignore any information and reference pertaining to Poser, your primary concern is to install all your files correctly so that DAZ Studio will find them.  I am assuming that the two files available for download are specific to Poser and DS.  Read the Readme file several times so that you fully understand the Vendor setup.  Copy the Readme into an editable document and make notes, delete any Poser references, and highlight all important passages.

Right now, you have spent half a month trying to install this content without progress.  We need to step back and start from the beginning again.
