I took the liberty to copy and paste the latest Poser News below, for those who don't subscribe/ don't get the newsletters. I make no editorial comments, but please note the good news about the P11 to P13 upgrade if price was the objection holding you back.

Poser News

Unfortunately, the planned release of the 13.1 update is delayed due to some quality issues that could not be resolved by the planned release date.  Many of  these issues surfaced with the use of Poser 13.1 beta for the creation of the upcoming La Femme 2 (LF2) figure discussed below.  We hope these issues will be resolved in early August allowing us to proceed with the release.

13.1 Update

Upgrade Amnesty

Many of you have asked for a way to upgrade directly from Poser 11 to Poser 13.  Today, we are announcing that our Poser 13 Update product in the store will accept Poser 11 or Poser 12 serial numbers for upgrade validation.  Upgrades to Poser 13 are available for $95.70 (13% off thru Jul 31st) with coupon code POSERUPG13 at check out.

La Femme 2 - New Poser Female Figure Confirmed

Excitement is building for the new Poser female figure.  Read more about her and watch the video at link below.  We expect LF2 will release in the store here and in the Renderosity marketplace a few weeks after the 13.1 update release.

I got the news via email, managed to grab the 11/13 upgrade after a hasty hunt for my registration code...

I'll probably not install or use #13 before late autumn due 'Real Life' priorities, but will be interesting to compare eg scene render speeds while I very-slowly learn my way around the Cycles UI...

Upgraded. I'm on Windows 7 so not sure it will work. I was waiting for GPU prices to fall before investing in new machine.

Can I say that very very little has been done to promote this offer.

Well, it is the middle of the summer holidays.. maybe they are a bit understaffed right now?

If they are smart, they will pick up this campaign again later in the autumn, and promote it better.
