Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 18 10:25 pm)
The only place I have seen that dealt with period uniforms is DAZ but I don't recall seeing a Redcoat uniform in their store. Your problem would be converting such a uniform to a V4 fit especially using Poser 6 as your app of choice. The current Poser version would make conversion easier. I can't think of any obscure site that may have what you need.
You might try searching on Pirate or Buccaneer . You'd have to make your own textures.
You could also fit M4 clothing to V4 with Crossdresser or its ilk. There's more historical stuff for him, at least if you're not looking for "sexy" pirates.
It's too bad RenaPD has closed her store. She had a bunch of Napoleonic uniforms. I think they were for M4, but the hats and such could be easily used for other figures.
Thanks for all your hints tips links and suggestions. Yes I tried a few of these previously, but tried them again. My probs are gonna be conversion also for my ageing P6 and ageing but great V4, I know. I've not tried the Crossdresser thing - think I recall this from some years ago. I think something confused me about the software, and so I didn't want to purchase and not know how to use. My recent interest was peaked after seeing some AI (I know - oh dear) stuff on deviant art site with some, I guess you could say, 'saucy' redcoat gals and other military outfits from those times, and even modern UK guards uniforms, and some comic strip ideas started to form in my head. I'll see if I can add one of the AI images...

I've been trawling the market places for any redcoat or other historic period uniforms for Victoria 4 (I know she's old now but I still use her mostly) and cannot find anything from this period, and of these period battlefield styles. I STILL use Poser 6 (sorry) and would loved to find or locate anything thus related. It is mostly the jackets and hats of various sorts, the sacko (is it?) type and the brilliant Napoleonic era headpieces etc....
