The big bug after the small bug fix ?!! I was really skeptical installing the latest update after the announcements that the cache will be removed and that it actually had the purpose to speed up render times not having to reload the textures every time.
The decision of removal sounded a little like " If you are not happy with what you get then we just remove it with the consequence of slower rendering reactions "
In another thread it is also mentioned that the Cache does not work and textures need to be reloaded for every render test ! This sure can cause a heavy load.
I have not installed it jet ! Do not have the time at the moment as Models are in creation. Guess I'll end up trying my self , still wonder what would make any difference, Installing a version with the option removed or having a version with the option that I can manually deactivate. At the end is the optional version still the one that has a additional feature just in case.
In any case I always keep all the versions running as portable and saved this way after install so can always jump back some versions ...
The cache was causing way more trouble. Memory leaks and crashing. It will probably come back if the serious issues can be fixed without reinventing Poser. The big bug after the small bug fix ?!! blackbonner, I installed 13.3.895, but my General Preferences are set to launch to my Preferred Scene, which includes 2 work lights and my GROUND background set to white with ambient value 1. So when I open a new scene, I have the work lights and when I render, I have the GROUND ambient light (if I haven't made subsequent lighting changes to the scene). You might also want to set a Preferred Scene in General Preferences.

Hi, I just filed a ticket at Poser Support.
Today I installed the latest version of Poser on my computer and went to work with it.
I'm working on some shaders for a clothing item, but to my surprise, the preview windows of all shaders are black.
It's like I switched all light sources off.
I know from experience that it takes some time to load up the previews, but even after I rendered the scene, with all the correct textures at place, those preview windows are still not showing anything.
I hope that get's fixed quickly, because thats not the way I like to work. Its a bit like stumbling around in the dark.
Greetings from Germany.
