Subject: Clothing Requests

Hello to all of the fantastic creators/vendors,

I am at a loss everyone. There are some clothing models that I am seeking for DAZ Studio, and I'm afraid that I have not found anything suitable. Though some of these do exist, the examples I have found are not working well due to the fact that they are older models and are simply not modeled well or, they are non DForce and do not behave well when a DForce modifier is added, i.e. EXPLOSIONS! So, here goes. I am looking for a simple, long sleeved DForce lab coat model (something along the lines of the H&C Doctor's coat) that has a fully openable option. I am also looking for a DForce judges/graduation robe with the same options. I was also looking for a beauty pageant kit as well, but I see one has recently been made available which I will be looking into. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill or all of the necessary software to create them myself, so I am asking for anyone's assistance. The models should be compatible with a G8F figure and DForce capable (I used to hate DForce, but now that I have learned to use it, I don't want to create without it.) Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

PS, If any of you vendors/creators are in need of historical assistance with uniforms circa WW1/2 to present day for your clothing projects, I would be glad to help. Either historically correct clothing and props, or fun, military pin-up style for those cheeky pin-up girls. I have been a collector of the actual for over 40 years and I can assure the best of accuracy for your design project. I have a lot of great ideas that are just wasting away due to lack of personal skill.

While you are waiting for a creator/vendor to respond here are some alternatives - https://www.daz3d.com/fg-science-lab-uniform-for-genesis-9 along with the https://www.daz3d.com/mmx-genesis-9-clones-for-all, https://www.daz3d.com/doctor-coat-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s, https://www.daz3d.com/hc-trench-coat-outfit-for-genesis-8-males apply al white shader or texture. You can still get the effects you want without having dForce.

@RedPhamtom - Thank you.

@GGreen -Thank you for the links. I will be looking into them especially the cloning software. I have a sizeable Gen3 library, and I have been using SickleYield's converters. I'll give these a go.

Thanks!

dForce Master at DAZ has cloth simulation preset to fix explosions, among many other things.

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-master-cloth-simulation-presets

You select your clothing item, go to surfaces tab and apply the shader presets to the clothing.

@DeeceyArt - Thanks for mentioning the DForce Master. I did see this, but wasn't too sure how well it works. I'll give it a shot.

@GGreen - Thanks again for the links! I used the FG Science Lab coat with the cloning add-on and it worked perfectly for the Doctor Pin-Up girl project. The cloning tool opens up a lot of opportunities for G9 clothing and hair. Too bad G8 is dropping off so quickly. I'm not quite ready to dive into G9 because I have several G8 characters that I created myself and still use. This tool will keep things going for a little longer.

Thank you all for your posts. Mission accomplished with the lab/doctor's coat. Your input was most helpful.
