Exactly the same. Bring in Vicki, then bring in the clothing item. Open Figure and Conform to, then Figure 1 and OK. You're there. All Poser figures are treated the same way, regardless of whether they came with Poser or from DAZ. Have fun with Vicki! Melanie

Victoria uses different texture mappings than Posette. Vicky's maps are free to download from Daz3d.com, and if you've got a good paint program, you can prpbably convert from one map to the other just with some careful flipping and shuffling and stuff... as far as adding the texture maps goes, it is exactly the same process. It's just that Vicky's maps don't sit right on Posette's figure, and vice versa.

Vicky's clothing textures work the same as P4 clothes. Vicky on the other hand is a little different, she needs at least 3 different maps (head, body & trans) I have a tutorial on texturing Vicky on my website and there is a set of vicky texures in the download section.

Sorry, yes, Shadowcat is quite correct-- I was talking only about clothes. Texturing the body does mean you have to assign the three maps, as Shadow says. There are some really great textures for Vicky in the free stuff section here, if you haven't already looked. You could use those and study them to see how they're put together.

Yes, all of the above, however, applying them is the same technique, via the Materials window under the Render menu. You have to apply the head and body textures individually. It's a little more work, but it's basically the same. Just make sure the Apply to All isn't checked or you'll have some pretty funny results. You'll get the head on the body or vice versa. Thank goodness for the new MAT pose files. These will apply the textures for you. I wish I understood the technique for creating the MAT files, but I think it's too technical for this old broad to grasp. :) Melanie

Melanie - check out my tutorials for making MAT files. They may help. If not, please let me know what isn't clear so I can improve them, if you wouldn't mind. :-) http://www.fallencity.net/lore

Crescent, your tutorial looks fascinating. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks so much. I love using MATs, but they just seem such a mystery to me. Maybe this will unlock the secrets for me. Thanks, Melanie
