Just finished this one tonight. I always do these portrait stuffs in color and black & white, and usually can't tell which I like better, so I thought I'd ask the best team I know (youse guys!). So, any preference, or comments/suggestions on any aspect of the photograph??

Here's the black & white.

Normally I would say black and white, but in the color photo she has such rosey cheeks and lips it would almost be a crime to put her in b&w. Your daughter is very photogenic...boy do I feel for you when the boys start pouring in. Probably best to invest in a baseball bat now hehe.

nah, a sawed off double barrel would be more efficient. Love the softness of the pic.

definately colour.

I agree, she looks beautiful in colour. Both images would be better, in my humble opinion, if her eyes had more light on them to bring out the colour and texture. Also the whole image would improve if you included the very top of her hair

Beautiful, Phrank! Great shot, great subject. I agree. Get used to using a baseball bat NOW! Cheers! Nick Thank God I have boys!

I prefer the b/w version.......but it could be bcause my crap monitor makes her hair look more yellowy than blonde.... the black& white one looks better from here. (",)

Actually, because it was shot outside under cover of a thick layer of green and yellow leaves, everything has a yellow-green hue to it, and this is after I corrected it as much as I could, so it's not your monitor Jody. And Caledonia, I agree about the eyes. So many times it seems like her eyes absorb up all the light in the area, still needing more. I need some reflectors or something because this is after I lightened them as much as I could. Thanks for all the feedback from all!
