I need someone to test this bat'telh out in their Poser and see how it looks/works. [Bat'telh zip file](http://thunder.prohosting.com/~klingons/battelh.zip)

Gee, what an overwhelming response... Thanks...

Warrior, I downloaded it the other day, and hadn't tried it. I just did. Poser 4 won't import it, I get some kind of plug in error. RDS opens it, but it is distorted. It might have been a bad download. I don't know.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 7:28 PM

This is a new one compared to the other day. I just uploaded it. This is getting interesting, cuz it works in mine (the old one did too) but they seem to give people problems...

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 8:02 PM

I just downloaded the new one and tried it out. It loads fine into Poser, but the edges look odd to be, more crystal-like, than blade like. But then again, I'm not Klingon, so what do I know. I opened it with RDS, and it works there, too.

I just downloaded it, unstuffed it and ran mac convertor over it and it worked fine except it couldn't find the texture off hand ... Nice work and later

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 8:14 PM

There is no texture... blink It asked for a texture????

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 8:23 PM

Please ignore my second post. I didn't look inside the zip, I just imported the obj, thinking it was like the first. I put the pp2 and rsr into poser and tried it again. It askes for chromemap4.jpg, but it works fine. How do you make it look like more than just a shiney white thing?(not counting the handles)

smerc ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 8:46 PM

Works fine for me. smerc

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 8:59 PM

Ack! The chrome map! L I forgot to take that out before PP2ing it. Disregard that texture. it's from Diane G's Lursa. The chrome map was an attempt to get a, well, chrome look to the metal. Those are the two surfaces- metal and handles. If you know how to make it appear like chrome, let me know please. Glad to know this one is working :o) Now to repose the Voyager shirt into the default. Many seem to be having a problem with it too, not conforming correctly. I think the problem lays in the pose I set it in...

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 10:00 PM

The chromemap doesn't work, because the object doesn't have a uvmap. I loaded it into uvmapper, and it said there was none. I made a uvmap, saved it and the new model, imported the new obj into poser, and it doesn't look very much like your original prop. It looks like I said in my second reply, more crystal-like than blade-like. I didn't try to do anything with the texmap template.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 10:09 PM

Wow. That is weird. Anyone wanna try and fix it in another program, like Raydream or Rhino? See, I never ran it through UVMapper, cuz I didn't think it'd need a texture map :o(

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 10:56 PM

I opened it in ray dream, and then saved it back out. I haven't learned that program yet, so I wouldn't know what to do with it. It still looks kind of strange. What program did you make it in? The mesh has some wierd shapes in it.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 11:00 PM

It was made in LW. You remember the pic of it, right? (I'll post below). It looks and works fine there. I've never ever had this prob with a LW mesh converted to obj for Poser L What a mess... Anyways, the pic- battelh.jpg

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 07 December 1999 at 11:18 PM

That is pretty much what it looks like as the prop in poser, but the blade won't even accept a color change. The handle part will accept a color change.

Ikyoto ( ) posted Wed, 08 December 1999 at 7:41 AM

I like it. Worked fine for me. I do a lot of color work post-render anyway. Poser doesn't do very good blood splashes...
