I was trying to create some quick and dirty bicycle wear and discovered an odd problem: materials assigned to the hip section of the P4 male via the grouping tool do not seem to stick. I can use the grouping tool to change the material on the legs and abdomen, no problem, but changes made to the hip are gone when the file reloads. This problem does not exist with the P4 woman. The attached screen caps were before and after load to illustrate the problem. Anyone have an explanation for this or a work around? All I want to do is change to change the material color, no textures, nothing fancy. Cal

heyas; its that blasted gen switch thing. ummmmm.... once upon a time, somebody created a non-genital switching male figure (i think at 3d-cc?), you might try finding that and using it. :/ i swear, that thing is more trouble...!

I guess that would explain it, thanks. I'm doing my rendering in MAX, so I was able to overide the materails there. What a pain! Cal
