Subject: OT: Go outside and look north!!!

I'm in south-central PA and the northern lights are just flashing like crazy tonight! I've seen them before years ago, but nothing as bright or vivid as they are tonight. I've never seen red in them before, only the very pale aqua color. Man, what a show! I've got to duplicate that in a scene now..LOL! Yes, I do appreciate the rare and wonderful things in life :). Oh... :) I miss the Northern lights! They are so beautiful. Of course I don't see them here in FL. laughing I guess I'll have to go back to Norway to see that. B I guess no camera can capture them... but I wish! :)

I tried with my crappy digital. No dice :(. But what a show! If my oldest son hadn't come running in the house and dragged me outside I would have missed them :). Laurie

LaurieA, you must live in the woods. I'm guessing that the lights would be hard to see near the city. I'm in North Virgina. I saw your post at 11pm. It may have been too late or it may have been because I am 30minutes from D.C. but I saw nothing. Oh well

Well, I do live in a rural area, but not really in the woods. About 10 miles from the capital, Harrisburg. Laurie

Online Now!

Oh, the aurora? Enh, see 'em all the time. Of course, I do live above the Arctic Circle. We don't get such a spectacular show, living right underneath them and all.

We saw them last year, they are amazing. I wish I could have seen it. Laurie, you live so close to where my sister lives. What a small world. Sharen

I miss everything! lol I'm in Northeastern PA btw. It was too cold and windy outside for me, no wonder I missed it all, too busy hibernating ... lol

angielyn, I almost turned into a popsicle standing out there looking at it...LOL. It was so cold! Sharen, no kidding? Your sis lives down here with all the rednecks?...LOL. It IS a small world :). Laurie

Bummer, I went out to look and didn't see anything but a pink tinge to the horizen (in ohio) but then I do live in the city. ::sigh::
