Subject: decoding .BR3 / ,OBP language

Has anyone anywhere made any headway in decoding Bryce's .BR3 / .OBP language? Ability to decode Poser's .PZ3 / .CR2 text scripting language has been very useful to many people down the years.

I'm just wondering ... and this may just be me .. but isn't decoding like that against the licensing agreement? Maybe I don[t understand decoding. But if we could write the code for the program then we could make objects and characters for the program without even owning it. I find that a bit unsettling for those who have spent a lot of money buying it and for Metacreations as well. I may misunderstand this issue entirely. Please enlighten me either way. Boni, I believe what Anthony is referring to is the ability to view the source to edit the files, ie converting to a new format, adding/editing various information about files like smoothing settings, texture coordinates, etc, maybe even writing an application that will convert models to and from the bryce format. If I remember correctly, Anothy has written a few utiliies for Poser already(generating ufo's, weapons, etc) that have been extremly useful to alot of the Poser Community
