Subject: joining 2 polys with diferent segments

hello modellers, this is a mini tut about joining 2 polys one with a lot of segs and one with very few. this is useful for join areas with a lot of details with another with few details like a hand and a fore arm for example. this is a lightwave tut but i think it works wwith any poly modeller. lets get started: 1- create a poly with i seg and another with 12.

2- now using the bevel tool(or smooth shift if u're doing it with 2 or more polys)subdivide the poly.

3- right. now count how many points to join u gonna need and subdivide it a few times more.

4- select the lower polys of the subdivision u just made.

5- delete them.

that's it! now u dont need to work with a whole model with lots of polys just because u need details in some parts. hope it can be useful to u. please any feedback is welcome
