Hi all, Im trying to get a mace that looks like the pic below, but I cant even find my copy of 3dmax (Edu) let alone start on it with me meager modelling skills. There might even be a few other pieces in the same style. I want to replace the mace seen in http://www.kiru.net/images/sigfiles/prefect2.jpg Is there anyone who can throw this togther for me (obj preferred please) Thanks in advance Kiru, aka prefect of frostfell (asheron's call)

Well, I'm in need of a project...but I have a few guidelines I need you to lay out if I decide to do this...first of all, how wild and bad ass can I get with the design (still following the general style of the one above of course) Or do you want it to be the EXACT mace as in the pic above? And...does it have to be textured and bumped? Or do you just want the mesh in .obj format? Lay down these parameters and I'll decide if I want to take it on. And lastly...will I get credit for it?

I think that since the design shown is someone elses property, that the guidlines should be this: The mace should be comprised of 4 parts (bottom to top) End cap Handle Head Gem (the black gem in the middle of the 3 prongs) The Gem should rest within the prongs of the head so that the gem does not cross the diameter of the cricle formed by viewing the head from above (cant hit things with the gem) It can be wild and wicked, but not too gothic and spikey. It should give the feeling that it is of exquisite craftsman ship, and EXTREMELY BRUTAL in battle. I always thought that there should be a small hook on the end cap so you could hang it on a saddle or belt. I think that the head could have more than 3 prongs, but they should still be thick enough to imply strength but thin enough to see the gem. If you would like to texture it, that is ok, but I could handle that. If you do the tex, he blue parts are definetly metal, like a tinted gold finish, and should probably be Unworn or scratched, I always felt like the handle might be some kind of stone, but it could always be some kind of wrapping. You can have as much credit as you want Modulok :). If you can sufficiently change the design while keeping the feel, you could even sell it here.

Alright, I'll do/did it. But you've got to UV map it and texture it yourself. I took it up a step from the dinky looking one in the pic above if thats ok, if not too bad :)~ "...gothic and spikey," and ..."EXTREMELY BRUTAL in battle," kind of fall in the same class, or pretty closely related anyway. But I did my best to keep it to a low Goth standings. I was going to use a human femur bone for the handle but decided agents it. As far as credit, you don't have to put K.L.F. on your cards or on your art because I wouldn't want someone do that to me. But when you post it in the gallery under the authors comments I would like you to mention that I modeled the mace. Other than that your free to do with it what you will other than selling the model. Here are some renderings of it, I just threw on some random textures, poor render quality, but it will give you a look at it. Ahh..as for getting the actual model...I could send it to you on msn if you have that. Or I could upload it to the free stuff section for rhino, but then everyone and their dog would have it, Not that I care, but you might. However you want to do it let me know. pics http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=104060&Start=1&Sectionid=12&WhatsNew=Yes
