Subject: Poser comic book - Wow!

wiz ( ) posted Wed, 07 November 2001 at 6:57 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 12:51 PM

Stopped by the comic book store for my usual fix. And there, with Thor and Spider Girl and the rest, was a new book, and it looked like Poser art on the cover. Flipped through a few pages, and it really looked like Poser art. Looked for the credits, and it looked like half of Renderosity was in there. Brian Haberlin (bjhaber) - Story Brian Haberlin and George Deep - 3D Art Mike Conley (fingers) - Lettering And a few people who's real names I don't recognize. Important contributions by Eric VanDycke (Traveler) Ken Sisemore (KenS aka fast trax) George Deep (GeorgeD) Jason Keller (JKeller) Chris Froehlich (Chris) Way to go, guys! Good book. Ciao! Joe

Yeah... what was it called, I'd like to see it...

DefaultGuy ( ) posted Wed, 07 November 2001 at 7:49 PM

Was it Elektra? I noticed the artist uses a lot of 3D modeling and swore I saw Poser figures in one issue. Let me know what the title of the book is. Thanks! DefaultGuy

GeorgeD ( ) posted Wed, 07 November 2001 at 10:35 PM

Check that out..the book is released and I didn't know about it till just now. I'd make an appearence at WizCon if I could ever scrounge up the cash to go. If anyone wants their books sign (ego gets a bit bigger:) Just send it with a self addressed stamped envelope big enough to have it sent back (with enough postage too..I'm still poor :} and I'll gladly sign them for everyone. Any questions or what not just ask away..I'm always here, GeorgeD

I'll definitely look for it at the Collector Shop in my neighborhood! (I told my roommate I'd pick up the latest Xena for her & this gives me a double excuse to browse) - In the meantime is there a link to any sites that have a pic or two from it to check out?

GeorgeD ( ) posted Wed, 07 November 2001 at 11:27 PM

Not yet. I don't even have a copy of the book myself:P

Kupa, Larry and I now have copies in the office. Larry and I went to Comicopolis in Santa Cruz during our lunch break and found it there. When we asked for your title, the owner knew exactly where it was and what is was about. You guys did a fantastic job. I too hope to meet you guys at a WorldCon. -Brian DefaultGuy
