Subject: IsoP age Kimonos?

Anybody tried 'em? I'm having trouble loading them; they want obj. files that don't seem to have been included in the download. Argh.

I'm having problems getting them to work too. I made sure to download the common.zip file that they had on the site to make sure that was something I needed, but that didn't work either. It's not asking me for any .obj files or anything, it just loads on the screen, but nothing is there, so I don't even know which ones I need. I don't know if poser pro pack has any effect on this or not. Greeg72

Actually, I just figured out what I did wrong. I put the files in my own character folder, but they need to be in a folder called "Iso_Kimono" then it should work fine. Make sure you download the common files as well. That might be the missing .obj files. Greeg72

This is how it looks like - fantastic work by ISO, Rubio and Minerva. The figure is Rubios Sakurako with a DAZ Millie high res texture.

Site Admin Online Now!

They work just fine once you install them correctly. The only problem you might have is if, after you've used them once and an .rsr from the .obj has been created and becomes corrupted. In that case you can just delete the .rsr and poser will build a new one. Anyway, the best thing about them is that Posette can actually sit! In fact, she can kneel with no breakage. A very big thank you to ISO!

The direct link to the kimono is here: http://isweb23.infoseek.co.jp/photo/isop2400/NeoJapan.htm If you don't already have the Japanese language "fonts" installed, you're in for a delay. Apparently my new installation of Windows XP didn't have them, so Windows XP is being a pain.

Yes these were made in PPP that;s why the OBJ are in the same place as the cr2, BUT if you haven't gotten these you are missing out!

Dreamspinner ( ) posted Thu, 08 November 2001 at 7:22 PM

I just found them the a couple of days ago and I was playing with them last night. I like that the kimono was split into parts and made into conforming peices. That will make is so much easier to make textures for the kimono. I just tripped out when I found the whole page. Went download happy! Thanks ISO!!! Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

HIya folks love the kimonos, well love all of Iso's stuff. However...what am I doing wrong? When I try to make the figure kneel the kimono goes weird, the folds look rubbish and I get all ...irate! Is it just a case of working at it until it's right or am I forgetting to do something? (which is most likely lol). All I want to do is sit the figure in much the same way as Kalypso has. Please help me folks, it's been a good Xmas and my brain is still in recovery :) Thanks in advance Mon
