I have been reading about using mpeg in poser but i don't seem to or have not found how to do that. I can only save in avi. How can i save animtaions in another format.

Poser only makes avi or mov files. You have to use a video program to convert the file to mpeg Ed

There is a lot of software out there that deals with converting AVI to MPEG. 'LSX AVI2MPEG' is a popular one. It's not free though. More upmarket is 'Media Cleaner Pro 4'. That pretty much converts anything to anything. This is made by Terran. I think the URL is www.terran.com.... Have you considered 'Bink'... It is free and is rapidly becoming a very popular compressor. If you intend to post your movies for download, you can include a link for your audience to get the free player.
